BotanicPress Wonderland Candle Review

I am always on the hunt for anything that makes my home less like smelly-boy and more into a spa and a place of relaxation to get away for a while. While picking my favorite candles have recently become harder because of my more natural lifestyle these days, I did find one that makes the grade!
The shop is BotanicPress by Ashley Carr on Etsy
(don’t you just love all things Etsy there is so much talent there)
When purchasing things I absolutely love when I know the person behind the logo and the “stuff”. It makes me feel amazing when I can buy local and help families rather than the bigger companies. (don’t get me wrong, they supply jobs too) So I read Ashley’s bio I really connected with the empowering you feel when you create something that is beautiful and natural. I also deeply love the cozy lifestyle she incorporates to each candle with the book titles, it just makes me want to snuggle into my comfy sofa with a blanket and hot cocoa by the candle light.
Here’s a little about Ashley’s why behind the creations:
“When I think about candles, I think about dinner parties, long talks on the patio, or rainy evenings with a good book. They are the centerpiece of quality time – both with others, and with yourself. In 2014 I ventured into candle making as “just another hobby.” But then I realized something (besides the amazing smells lingering around my kitchen). It felt GOOD. It was super empowering to be able to create something all by myself that was way more earth-friendly than many of the other candles on the market. This led to many, many other revelatory moments where I thought to myself, “I bet I could make that.” And in fact, I could. The concept behind my shop is to combine all the things I adore: reading, planet earth, relationships, and an all around cozy life. Each candle is named in reference to a story or character that has shaped me in some way, and is meant to bring you and your people closer together; whether its your shared love for Earnest Hemingway, or the refreshing scent of sandalwood drifting through the air. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!”
The candle I am swooning over is the newly released addition called Wonderland! It is a soy wax candle made purely with essential oils! It is seasonal but don’t worry, there will be more coming along made with purely essential oils.
I haven’t tried the others but they are on my list!
Here is a little bit about what Ashley says about her commitment to improving health quality also: “The ones made with fragrance oils are Phthalate-free, which is where you find most of the toxicity in candle fragrances. Unfortunately companies don’t have to list exactly what they put in their fragrance oils, so I make sure to only get ones without phthalates (even though not all phthalates are bad!). Also, even though fragrance oils are man-made, many of them contain primarily essential oils. The only reason I can’t say that they are 100% natural is because I don’t know the nitty-gritty of what’s in each oil. BUT, I will say that I buy from very reputable American companies who seek out the most ethical/natural ingredients possible.”
I just love the smell throughout the house and knowing that I am not putting harmful chemicals into the air is empowering as well. I am so excited I decided to get more of these wonderful candles! I highly recommend you go right over to try one! I will say that the smell intensified after burning a few times, with essential oils that sometimes will happen in candle use. She will be making more with essential oils only so if you have your favorite blends remember to post them in the comments!
I did not receive any compensation for this post including any sales of the candles, free product, etc. The opinions here are 100% my own.

    • Yes Amanda! It is fabulous with great customer service also! It is new but I know she will go far because of her passion to create beautiful products! Entrepreneur on Fire! 🔥🔥🔥

    • Thank you! Yes, I have become so much more aware of what I am using even in the air because our pores soak all that in too! Its really scary sometimes but I’m learning little by little and making the switch
